October 27th. I love it.

So happy this week. Here’s what I love.

First up, having actual channels to watch on TV. My dad bought be a digital antenna so now I can watch the World Series, football on Sundays, and “Once Upon a Time” when it actually airs. I’m so excited that I don’t have to constantly watch Netflix or wait until the day after a show airs to watch it.

I love it.

Next up, becoming a Louisiana resident. I love it. I got my Louisiana driver’s license this week. The first thing I did after I got it? Went to the library. You see, if you don’t have a Louisiana ID, you can only take 3 things out of the library at a time. You can only place three things on hold at a time, too. Now that I’m official, I can get as many as I want (so I checked out four things just because I could).

I love it.

Finally, having my dad here. I love it. It’s been pretty rough for me lately so I asked my dad if he would come visit (I gave him two weeks notice and he made it happen). He got in yesterday and we went to the Tulane football game (we won), did Bourbon (went to Spirits and got a really cool cup that glows in the dark), ate at Liuzza’s (and brought home leftovers), slept, got up and ate food at Frostop (City Diner was closed), drove around the lower 9th ward, filled up my fridge with food (and lots of it), rode the streetcar downtown, ate oysters at Acme Oyster House, got pralines, and gambled, and we still have one more full day together! I’m so glad he’s here and I’m gonna be really sad when he leaves.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.
