February 23rd. I love it.

Great week.

First up this week, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” I love it. Jimmy’s new show premiered this week and it could not have been more perfect. As much as I tried to, I could not stay up and watch them live, but let me say, I was more than entertained during my lunch breaks. With Seth’s show starting tomorrow, I am going to make an even greater effort to see both shows. Every night. Think I can do it? Check in next week.

I love it.

Next up, my tent. I love it. It is finally back in my life and I couldn’t be happier! My sister is here visiting an she was kind enough to bring my tent to NOLA for me. This is the tent that I slept in every night for five months while I worked for the Zephyrs (but have no fear, I did have an apartment – I was not homeless). I have been enjoying myself, watching TV and movies from my tent. I’m glad to have it back.

I love it.

Finally, showing Brittany around New Orleans. I love it. This is her first visit here and we’ve already spent time downtown, ate seafood, beignets, and gator, watched Tulane basketball, had a Fast & Furious mini-marathon, baked cookies, seen Civil War pictures at the art museum, rode a street car, hung out with my friends, and been stared at like the freaks of nature that we are (at least that’s what our parents always say). Now, we just need all of the Deas siblings to be in one place at a time (in NOLA or LA) and life will be perfect.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

February 16th. I love it.

So much love.

First up this week, baseball. I love it. Friday was Opening Day for college baseball. Even though it was a little cold (until today) and some of the game times had to be changed so we wouldn’t run into lighting issues, overall it was a good weekend for baseball. The Greenwave swept Arkansas-Pine Bluff in simple fashion and are now 4-0. As stressed as I’ve been trying to get the stadium ready, I’m glad the season is here (now basketball just needs to end).

I love it.

Next up, coloring. I love it. With all the stress (and major and minor meltdowns I’ve been having), I’ve started to color a lot more. I’ve mostly been drawing things on my glass door (thanks to the window markers my mom bought me two years ago), but my Disney Heroes coloring book has been getting used quite a bit, too. So if anyone wants to come over and color with me, feel free.

I love it.

Finally, the Lego Movie. I love it. Chad and I went to see it on Friday after work (even though we were really there to see Monuments Men but it was sold out). Like they say in the movie “everything [about it] is awesome!” It was funny and witty and highly entertaining (although that could have been the oreo mudslide I had right before talking). Definitely a must-see for everyone!

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

February 9th. I love it.

After a brief hiatus, the love is back.

First up this week, warm days. I love it. Today it was 70 degrees which was a much needed change with the temps in the 30s earlier this week. Even though I had to spend most of my day in the arena for the men’s basketball game, I came home and kept my screen door open and let the fresh air into the house. It feels good. Hopefully it stays warm at least through next weekend so I can get the stadium ready for baseball opening day on Friday.

I love it.

Next up, waffle sandwiches. I love it. I am a big proponent of using waffles as bread in any type of sandwich. Most of the time I use them for peanut butter and jelly but on Saturday I made an egg and cheese sandwich. AMAZING! And it only took 5 minutes to make. I will definitely be making that more often!

I love it.

Finally, last second wins. I love it. Well, this is more of a love/hate relationship. This week alone (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday), Tulane basketball came back to win their games in exciting fashion. It was almost too much for me to take. My heart is not strong enough for all of the drama, but at least we won, right?

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

Sorry…

I would like to apologize for my lack of posts lately. Interesting things have been happening, but between my work schedule and laptop not working (I have a new one on the way), I haven’t been able to write about them. I am fully aware that I missed by first “I love it” post since I started writing it 3 years ago this past Sunday (laptop issues) and I know I never miss it again.

As I said before my schedule is crazy – I have to be at every sporting event on campus, plus get ready for the sports that are starting soon. Hopefully I will be getting some backup soon, but until the time that I am no longer overwhelmed
