November 30th. I love it.

November is almost over already?

First up this week, the zoo. I love it. After having 6 games in 6 days, I decided to take Wednesday off (which gave me two days off in a row because of Thanksgiving) so I trip to the zoo was planned. It’s a Deas family tradition to go to the zoo the day after Thanksgiving, but because I had to work on Friday, Wednesday had to do. It was so much fun! I saw a two-headed snake, climbed through fishing nets, watched the giraffes sun, and stared down a leopard. Not a bad way to spend the day!

I love it

Next up, actually having a Thanksgiving. I love it. I will admit that I was totally planning on having my “usual” solo Thanksgiving of pizza and ice cream, but Brian thought that making an actual dinner would be better and he was right We made a little four pound turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and pecan pie. And the even better news? We still have leftovers! Yum!

I love it.

Finally, Christmas lights. I love it. Now that we can officially start celebrating Christmas because Thanksgiving is over, I did the first Christmassy thing of the year last night. A group of us went to “Celebration at the Oaks” which is in City Park. They had everything decorated for Christmas and a ton of lights. Even though it was a mild 70 degrees and did not feel like the Christmas I know and love, it did kick start my Christmas spirit.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

November 23rd. I love it.

Holy love Batman!

First up this week,  my tent. I love it. After having the creeping sensation that I was going to have a panic attack (and after cleaning out all of my cabinets and my closet), I thought setting up my tent would help calm me down. And I was right. I watched a few episodes of Bonanza before work from in my tent, regrouped, and felt ready (enough) to take on the men’s basketball game.

I love it.

Next up, reading. I love it. With everything going on lately, I haven’t been able to read much (which sucks because I am so close to reaching my goal for the year), so with an off night on Wednesday, I finished my 50th book of the year – Hardy Boys and the Tower Treasure. I loved these books when I was a kid, so now my goal is to collect them all (can you say “Merry Christmas, Carolyn”?).

I love it.

Finally, riding tricycles. I love it. Our marketing team just got three adult sized (pretty much) tricycles to race on the court during basketball games so naturally, after helping put them together, I had to be the first one to try it. I rode one around the lobby in our building, then I raced Dylan and Jess, and then took my ride upstairs to entertain the ladies in the football office. Just a typical day at the office.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

Flying Chinchillas

Here’s a throwback post from a dream I had a while ago:

Holy weird dream, Batman!

Last night was the first night in a long time that I fell asleep before midnight and stayed asleep longer than an hour, but apparently the trade off was that I had a very strange dream.

Basically, I was in my house and noticed things scurrying across the floor. I thought they were rats, but really fluffy. Upon closer inspection, it was actually baby chinchillas. All over the place.

Apparently they were born in my closet and finally got brave enough to leave and take a stroll around my apartment. There had to be at least 30 of them.

And bunnies.

All of a sudden a huge litter of bunnies started hopping around, too.

Let me tell you; catching bunnies and chinchillas is not easy, especially when chinchillas can fly.

That’s why I called Brittany over to help me. She was a much more effective trapper than I was. I wasn’t mad that the animals were there – I just wanted to pet them. Somehow I managed to grab onto a baby bunny and it started talking.

Yep. Things just got weirder.

It told me that it had Downs Syndrome.

That’s all I remember. I woke up laughing because just the thought of seeing me and Brittany bouncing around my house chasing the little fuzzies was hysterical.

I wish all of my dreams were that fun.

November 16th. I love it.

Crazy love.

First up this week, The Blacklist. I love it. After hearing that the show is awesome, and since I am a sucker for peer pressure, I started watching The Blacklist. Luckily, the first season is on Netflix, so I spent a few days catching up so I can watch season 2. Wow. I was not expecting to enjoy it quite this much and now that I’m halfway through season 2, and almost to the fall finale, I’m glad I started to watch it. Unfortunately, since I added a new show, I had to drop one, so sorry “Mulaney.”

I love it.

Next up, playing catch. I love it. It’s been a while since I took out my glove (at least 2 months), so throwing today felt good (even though I probably won’t feel that way tomorrow). I was worried we wouldn’t be able to play today because of impending weather, but it was actually quite nice today (and considering it was only 50 degrees yesterday, anything was a step up).

I love it.

Finally, Skyping. I love it. Today I Skyped with my mom and sister for over 2 hours. After catching up, we ended up looking through old pictures. I have to admit, I was a pretty cute kid.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

November 9th. I love it.

I still can’t believe it’s November.

First up this week, sushi. I love it. All of my sushi consumption usually involves the student union on campus, but this week for Brian’s birthday, we went to an actual sushi place, Kyoto. It was amazing. Have you ever had fried sushi. I have and it’s delicious. So as everything else.

I love it.

Next up, the movies. I love it. I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but I go to the movies a lot. This week I hit up another two movies; “Interstellar” and “Big Hero 6.” I loved them both. So much. They involve 2 of my favorite things – outer space and superheroes. Go see them both!

I love it.

Finally, Pelicans games. I love it. Elijah always gives me his comp tickets for the basketball games because he can’t go because he’s working. This week he got me tickets to the game against Charlotte and it was really fun. We sat up in the nosebleeds, despite the constant breeze from the A/C, they were great seats. And the Pelicans won!

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.
