After so much traveling lately, I needed a vacation. Not a trip. A vacation. I had spent 10 days back home in Cleveland followed by a short stint in LA visiting my brother. We had fun seeing the sights, attending Comic Con, and when I was home, I’m so glad I got to show Brian my hometown and all of the fun things we do there.
But it was exhausting.
Always having to be somewhere with every moment planned is actually much more tiring than going with the flow, so that’s exactly what Brian and I did this weekend. We drove to Gulf Shores, Alabama and lived “off the grid” for a couple days. No cell phones. No email. No clocks. Just beach time, old fashioned tent living, and being among nature. It was totally refreshing and exactly what I needed.
