July 31st. I love it.

I know I missed last week, but I was partying hard with Bud’s family, so this week will cover two weeks.

First up, lazy Sunday’s. I love it. I know I say that a lot but when Bud told me this morning that he wanted to be lazy today, I was so happy. We made Sunday brunch, went swimming, cleaned the house, and I finished a book. Perfect day to me. It will get even better when we order Chinese for dinner which means I don’t have to cook today either!

I love it.

Next up, being on vacation. I love it. This month has been great. I haven’t had to really work so I’ve been giving myself time to prepare for my new job but also taking it easy. I mean, I worked for over three years in a super fast-paced environment where my body was put through so much. A month of relaxing was definitely deserved. I start my new job officially tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited (and scared)!

I love it.

Finally, Las Vegas. I love it. I honestly didn’t think I would and I’ll admit I almost lost my cool one night because of all of the people but overall, I had so much fun! Time at the pool, buffets, dolphins, white lions, and Bud’s family made it worth the trip. Bud and I are already planning another trip back.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

July 17th. I love it.

First up this week, The Wizard of Oz. I love it. River town put on another remarkable play filled with local talent. Oz is one of my favorite books/movies so I was excited to see it was coming. I love date nights at the theater with Bud!

I love it.

Next up, new furniture. I love it. This week, a bedroom set that Bud and I bought showed up. I feel like an adult. We finally have all of the furniture we need.

I love it.

Finally, Secret Life of Pets. I love it. Super cute movie. I really want to know what Yogi and Maisy do when we’re gone.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

All Grown Up

After spending some time with my Hooligans this weekend, I got to thinking about how much we’ve all grown up in the last 9 years. Think about it! We’ve known and loved these boys for more than half of their lives and I still consider them my best friends. They’re always up for anything, highly entertaining, and give me the opportunity to be a big sister (Brittany doesn’t count).

It makes me feel good that they still love me and like hanging out with me.

I just wish I got to see them more.

Day 20: My favorite food

You may think that I forgot to blog, but I was actually on vacation and I don’t really have the habit of being on my computer when I’m with my family.

Today’s topic is my favorite food.

Well, that’s an easy question.

GUACAMOLE!

I love it because it can go on anything, so I put it on everything! Don’t believe me? Ask my boyfriend. Just in recent memory, here’s what I’ve put guac on.

  1. Toast
  2. Burgers
  3. Grilled cheese
  4. French fries
  5. Eggs
  6. BLT’s
  7. Potato chips
  8. Vegetables

It’s perfect for all occasions!

July 10th. I love it.

You thought I forgot, didn’t you?

First up this week, Pokemon Go! I love it. It’s like living out a childhood dream. I’ve been catching Pokemon left and right in my backyard with this awesome app. I’m making sure I stay safe, though, and stay aware of my surroundings as not to get hit by a car or cause a major crash. I mostly let them come to me. So fun!

I love it.

Next up, surprised from my dad. I love it. I was a little bummed knowing that when I was home this week that I wouldn’t get to see my dad. He was just home last week and I saw him in April, so I didn’t want to be selfish. Well, wouldn’t you know that I woke up on Saturday and he was sitting in his spot on the couch acting like he was here the whole time.  I’m thankful I got to see him!

I love it.

Finally, being home. I love it. These trips are always so short but we manage to fit a lot in like Indians games, dinner with Grandma, visiting with the Hookigans and neighbor girls, plenty of BBQ, and hugging my mom every time I saw her. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

July 3rd. I love it.

Much love friends.

First up this week, meeting Miss Nora Kate! I love it. We heard she was coming back on December and she’s finally here! I obviously wasted no time in getting my hands on her at Travis and Audra’s today. I can’t wait to babysit her!

I love it.

Next up, free concerts. As I write this, I’m sitting in Lafreniere Park listening to Joe Nichols perform. The Uncle Sam Jam brought him and Sara Evams to Metairie and Bud was nice enough to want to go. I think he’s only in this for the fireworks, though.

I love it.

Finally, being on vacation. I love it. My last day at Tulane was on Friday so I have a whole month “off” before I have to be at work again. I’m actually going to be using that time to work on lesson plans and get my life together.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.
