Last year I became obsessed with the Pinterest phenomenon, overnight oats. Basically, it’s delicious, cold oatmeal made from steel cut oats and various healthy things like flax seeds and chia.
Being the lazy person that I am (and always too poor to spend money on fancy foods), I made my own version of overnight oats. It’s cheap, easy, and delicious.
What I use:
- 1 packet of instant oatmeal
- 2 scoops of vanilla Greek yogurt
- Splash of fat free milk
- Handful of dried cranberries
All you gotta do is put it in a mug and mix it up. Sometimes I use chocolate chips instead of cranberries and I’ll use different flavors of instant oatmeal.
The beauty of my version is that you don’t even have to leave it over night. Put it in the fridge for an hour and you are good to go!
