This is my life summed up perfectly.

I saw this on Facebook yesterday and literally yelled “Yes!” very loud to the cats. This is all I want in life.

June 24th. I love it.

Can I tell you how much I love summer vacation?

First up this week, finishing 3 graduate classes. I love it. The reason I decided to not work this summer was not only for my mental health, but also so I could focus on taking several classes. This was the last week of the summer where I had to juggle the course load of 3 classes at one time. To be honest, it wasn’t that hard. If you’re organized grad school is easy. Tomorrow I start my final class of the summer but it should be a piece of cake.

I love it.

Next up, spending time with my friends. I love. I got to spend some quality time with Annabelle on Thursday watching movies, eating Poke and ice cream, and seeing the theater camp play. I followed that up with a morning spent with Diana where we went to Panera and wandered around Walmart. It’s nice to have this time to be myself and hang out with the people I love.

I love it.

Finally, cooking. I love it. I was feeling special sporty today so I made fresh cinnamon apple pancakes. They might be the best pancakes I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot because I’m quite the expert. Then this afternoon I threw all kinds of vegetables and shrimp into the crockpot with some sesame seed oil and made a healthy and delicious dinner. Any day you can use your electric griddle and your crock pot in the same day is a pretty successful day.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

June 17th. I love it.

Wow. I feel like I haven’t written anything in a long time.

First up this week, the Tiki Bar. I love it. Going home this week meant that I got to spend time in my backyard in our homemade Tiki Bar. This week was filled with music flowing on the jambox, Scrabble, BBQ, and good friends. Going home is fun.

I love it.

Next up, being productive. I love it. This week I had a bunch of homework to do (I didn’t do any while I was on vacation) so I spent a lot of time at the library doing discussion boards and writing papers. One more week of having three classes and then I’m down to one more this summer. I’m so close to getting this Master’s Degree!

I love it.

Finally, catching up. I love it. Because I caught up on all of my homework this week, I took this weekend to catch up on a few of the shows I watch. In two days, I binge watched the latest season of “Arrested Development”, “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, “The Good Witch”, and I’ve watched 3 musicals. I think I’m going to take a break from TV for the next few days.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

June 3rd. I love it.

Holy Toledo, it’s already June!

First up this week, school being over. I love it. After a week of recognition ceremonies and graduations, I am finally on summer break! Well, it’s not a total break; yes, I’m not working full time this summer but I have 4 classes that I’m taking and three of those are going on right now. As my boss likes to point out, I’m a “nerd” so I have no trouble navigating all of the assignments.

I love it.

Next up, “The Heroes of Olympus” series. I love it. This week alone, I’ve read the first 2 books in this Rick Riordan series (Percy Jackson) and I’m in the middle of the third one. I’m currently working on my 30th book of the year. If you’re keeping score at home, you’ll probably notice that 30 was my reading goal for the year – yeah… turns out I am not as busy as I hoped I would be so I’m bumping my goal to 40 but now I want to read books that aren’t meant to be easy reads, like a lot of the YA novels I read. When I go on vacation, I’m gonna read the new Stephen King novel, “The Outsider” and I’m so excited.

I love it.

Finally, seeing old friends. I love it. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of guys through minor league baseball so when they move on to different teams and cities I try my best to keep up with how they’re doing. I was totally surprised when I realized that my friend Preston Guilmet was in NOLA for the weekend playing the Baby Cakes. I saw him play in 2 games and it turns out I still get stomach aches watching my guys play because I want them to do really well.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.
