August 13th. I love it.

School is almost here so here are my last loves of the summer!

First up this week, sleepovers with my best friend. I love it! I had been promising Lupita all summer that we could have a sleepover before she started kindergarten (holy crap, she’s in kindergarten). I went to her house on Friday and we made pizza, watched a movie, and stayed up super late (11:15pm which is late for me nonetheless a 5 year-old). We woke up, ate food, watched more movies, and then it was time to go. Now she wants to sleep over at my house. Maybe that can be one of her birthday activities when she’s six in 3 months.

I love it.

Next up, getting organized. I love it. This week I spent a lot of time getting the gym, locker room and myself organized for school. It meant a lot of cleaning, clearing out, and revamping. I redid bulletin boards, found out who the boys in my advisory are, and hopefully set myself up for a successful year. 2 more days until the kids are back!

I love it.

Finally, Perry Mason. I love it. It only took me a total of about 5 days to watch the entire first season. My next project is going to be The Big Bang Theory but I have so many books on my reading list that I’m not sure how TV fits into my list of important things to do. Time will tell.

I love it. It’s great. Everything’s great.

I love it.

3 Thoughts I Have After Reading Half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I have waited a long time to read the Harry Potter series. I didn’t really have a plan not to, but I guess when the books came out I just didn’t want to read what everyone else was. It was something I regretted early on, but I managed to keep myself safe from spoilers up until this point by avoiding the movies, Tumblr posts, memes, and any and all summaries. Therefore, I have no idea what happens at the end of the books. So far, my favorite book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and my favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Currently, I’m halfway through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

These are the three things I hope/wish/wonder happen in the rest of the 7th book:

  1. I hope that Harry, Ron, and Hermione go back to Hogwarts after taking a hiatus looking for the horcruxes/He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named and finish their studies. That is the geek in me wishing everyone did their best and they follow the plan. I mean, how are they going to get jobs if they don’t take their NEWTS? Plus, they could graduate with Ginny and wouldn’t that be fun?
  2. I wonder what’s going on with Neville. You know, this story could just have easily been him so I’d love to know how things would have been different. Does Harry have the intention of telling Neville what could have been? This could be a major bonding moment. I’m also super pumped about how much Neville came out of his shell as he grew up. What could have been, right?
  3. I wish that Harry and Hermione were the ones that fell in love. Ron, honestly, drives me crazy and is a jealous git. Harry is very humble doesn’t want all of the attention, like Ron does. Harry and Hermione just fit better together. Has anyone written FanFic about that yet? It’s my goal now to find it.

These are my thoughts halfway through. I’ll write about my thought about the entire series once I’m done. I can’t believe I waited so long to read them!
